A Day in the Life

A Typical Weekday for me:

Around 7:30 a.m.: Wake up and get ready for my day.

8:45 a.m.: Arrive to my first class of the day. Most of my classes that I have are a pretty big size, so it is like being in a lecture hall at Madison.

10:00 a.m.: Head to the café attached to the library to get my caffeine fuel. It’s cheaper to go here than to a chain coffee shop like Starbucks or Costa. For example, I can get an iced chai tea here for about $3.

Library café called The Edit Room.

10:10 a.m.: My caffeine fuel and I go to study at my favorite library on campus. It is a quiet library, so I’m always able to focus and get a lot done when I study here.

Edward Boyle Library.

12:30 p.m.: Walk about 10 minutes outside of campus to go to the city center and grab some things I need at the grocery store called Morrison’s.

1:00 p.m.: Go to the union to grab some food and hang out. The union is my favorite place on campus. It has multiple food options, lots of seating, and always something interesting going on. Some days they even have pop-up shops that sell clothes and other items!

Leeds University Union (LUU) Building.

3:00 p.m.: Make my way to my last class of the day.

5:00 p.m.: A couple days a week I head to the gym with my friends. The university offers free classes to students in the residence halls. My friends and I love to take street dance classes and body pump classes.

6:15 p.m.: Make dinner in my flat. I only share a kitchen with two other people, so we don’t usually get in each other’s way if we all make dinner around the same time.

7:00 p.m.: Usually, this is when I start to relax for the day. Depending on my friends’ schedules, I’ll either hang out with them in the common room or watch TV by myself in my room.
