What is your advice for someone considering your program?

I think everyone should experience studying abroad. There are a lot of programs to look at but I really enjoyed the support I received from my program!

I think showing my bravery of traveling to a new country will show my personality to future employers and allow me to feel more comfortable being in the unknown and working through unexpected obstacles.

What challenges or barriers did you face as you prepared to go abroad and/or during your time abroad? How did you work through them?

I didn’t speak Spanish which made me nervous but I was able to learn quickly and use Spanish lessons to get basic communication across.

Describe your internship, research, or fieldwork and how the experience helped advance your career or studies.

I did an internship with a small architecture firm that worked on commercial and residential construction as well as renovations. It was good for me to see the profession on a different scale and still see the outcomes you can get.
