What did you learn about yourself or the world because of your experience?
I learned that you should always try to make the most of the opportunities that present themselves to you because you never know how they may impact your life or the things you may learn from the experience.
I learned that although something may not be entirely necessary to your path you see for yourself in life, the willingness to try new things and explore new ideas, places, etc. is a blessing we all have the ability to experience.
What is your most memorable experience from your program?
I would say the most memorable experience from this trip was the friendships that were formed. It was amazing to me to see a group of 18 people, who have never met before, come together and work with each other. Within a two week span, I felt that the bonds that formed between everyone on the trip were very trustworthy and meaningful. I never expected to get that close in such a small amount of time, but to me those friendships were one of the most beautiful things about the trip.

What is a custom, food or tradition from your host country that you are taking forward?
I will be taking forward the traditions of always having chicken and rice as the main course, with differing styles of both of those options. It was a very simple style of eating and very healthy and I felt like it also provided plenty of energy through the day.
