Update from Kevin (Italy)

Rome was absolutely gorgeous and the history there is incredible. The endless monuments, fountains and unbelievable architecture is unmatched . I left for Perugia and after about a three hour bus ride we arrived. Perugia is absolutely beautiful, words can do it no justice so I’ll let pictures do the talking.

We got assigned our roommates, which were all matched very well, me and my four roommates are extremely similar and get along very well. The apartments that students live in while here in Perugia are actual Italian apartments, not dorms or  a residence hall so they are spread throughout the city. We have an apartment right near the center of the city and only just a block away from the school. Our street is incredible and our apartment is great, we have three bedrooms and two bathrooms for five people, the two rooms which are shared by two students are very large with room for a couch and very large table as well. Walking around the city is so fascinating, the views are incredible because Perugia is on the top of a giant hill and the tiny winding streets and endless little shops are all so unique and interesting. This city is great, it’s filled with young students and people from all over the world. I have met Italians, Africans, Spaniards, Canadians and even more, all of them are extremely friendly and welcoming as well. The nightlife here is great because there are so many unique people with such interesting stories to tell and everybody has a great time. During the day we walk around and meet people, do a little shopping, and most importantly, eat. The food here is tremendous. It is so fresh and all of it is healthy and delicious, you cannot find bad food if you tried. So far this city is exceeding all of my expectations and I cannot wait to start classes and see what else this great city has to offer.
