Fish Market

A fish market is one of the places I had to hit while in Korea.  The fish market that I went to is called Noryangjin Fish Market.  All the seafood there is fresh and still alive! My friend told me that Jessica Alba came to this fish market last week!  I just missed her!  Well, on my list to do here, I wanted to go to a fish market and try some live octopus!   I was able to get four live little octopuses for $10.  After getting the octopus, they bring you to the back where it looks like a restaurant.  Each person pays about $3 each to have the octopus prepared for you.  Basically all they did was chop up the octopus, but it was still moving and the suckers were still moving.  Usually you have to be careful because of the suckers, but we had little octopuses so we were fine.  So basically you take a piece of octopus and dip it in some red sauce and you can wrap it in lettace if you want to.  At first it seemed scary, but it wasn’t so bad afterwards.  The taste isn’t bad either because the octopus doesn’t really taste like anything much.  All you taste is the sauce.  You just have to make sure you chew it enough before you swallow.   I was glad to have finally checked this off my list!
