Night Markets: There are so many night markets in each district of Taipei and each one has its own distinctive features. The night markets here are open in the evening and it’s always lively full of food stalls, boutiques, convenience stores, and activity booths. You can’t miss a single one! It’s the nightlife here in Taiwan.
Maokong Gondola & Taipei Zoo: The Taipei Zoo is certainly one of the best places to see in the area! It’s considered one of the biggest zoos in Asia with a wide array of animals. Next to the zoo, you can also ride the Maokong Gondola to enjoy scenery spots and attractions in the area.
Taipei 101 Observatory: This tower is probably the most famous attraction in Taipei. It only takes 37 seconds to get to the 87th floor!! The observatory deck is where you can receive an amazing view of the entire city and take your family to take photos.
Ximending Shopping Center: Ximending is one of the best shopping districts where a lot of live entertainment occur and stacks of restaurants, bars, and shops allure youngsters for a night out. I highly recommend this area because you can find international brands and cultural influences in this area.

NTU Campus: National Taiwan University is one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan with a beautiful campus where I love to take a stroll along the Drunken Moon Lake and bike through the Palm Boulevard.
Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf : Take the metro to the very end of the red line to Tamsui and take a glimpse of the beautiful river and then ride the ferry to Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf. The lover’s bridge is located here as well and if you want fresh seafood, the locals will cook it in front of you!
KTV: At the end of the week, I usually like to take my friends to a karaoke and sing the night away. The most prominent one is called “Partyworld” and the staffs provides free complementary food each time.
Youbike 2.0: Biking in Taipei is a must-to-do outdoor activity. Just tap the Youbike with your student id or an easycard and ride your bike across the city!
Hot springs: Bring a friend! Hot spring is a great place to relax and destress after exams.
MRT: The Taipei metro station is one of the fastest transportations in the world! It’s so convenient that there’s no need to take a taxi or walk to certain areas of the city.
