What is your most memorable experience from your program?

Meeting so many new people. It was like experiencing a small student city like Madison, but instead in a new town, different customs, and a hugely diverse student body.

There is a place for everyone to thrive.

What is a custom, food or tradition from your host country that you are taking forward?

Lagom – not too much, not too little.

What challenges or barriers did you face as you prepared to go abroad and/or during your time abroad? How did you work through them?

Finding housing, had to look every day from April to even a month into my exchange to find housing. It was a rough experience. Much of the accommodation was based on a lottery system, so if the lottery didn’t work out, one would be stuck sorting through scams and the little housing options left. This was the case in the fall, many say the spring semester is easier.
