Denmark: Lily Reback (Top ten list: Copenhagen)

I’ve experienced so many cool things in Copenhagen but if someone only had a limited amount of time here these are my top ten things to do, in no particular order:

A picnic table wtih two drinks, two bowls with rice, meat and beans, and two pieces of naan.
Chana Masala and Samosa Chaat with Garlic Naan from Reffen
  1. Try a hot dog from one of the dozens of stands around the city.
  2. Go with some friends to Tivoli and try every single ride! The ride pass is pricey but is worth it to get the full experience.
  3. Explore the nightlife in Copenhagen. I’d recommend Vela, Cosy Bar, and Ruby if you’re looking for a smaller space with good energy.
  4. Walk across Nyhavn for the true tourist experience.
  5. Go winter bathing (even in the coldest months) and follow it up with a warm sauna.
  6. Explore the overwhelming amount of thrift stores in the city center. They’re expensive but you’ll find so many gems!
  7. Go to at least one concert at VEGA. It’s the perfect size and layout so no matter where you end up in the crowd you’ll have a good spot.
  8. Grab a drink at Studenterhuset. Everything there is so inexpensive, and it is a great place to meet new friends.
  9. Try a pastry from Juno the Bakery. After trying probably every baked good in Copenhagen, this place consistently is the best.
  10. Go to Reffen and explore all the diverse food options. Everything I have had there has been phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back so many more times before I leave.
