Top Ten List – Copenhagen
Take a walk around Freetown Christiania. Although the micronation is small, it is nice to enjoy the city on a nice day! Denmark is known for their architecture, and my favorite attraction within this area is the Green George which was created from trashed wood.

Visit Rosenborg Castle. From the stunning outside to the marvelous rooms rich with history, this castle is a must-see in Copenhagen to fully understand the culture within the area. I enjoyed touring the castle with my friends, so I suggest going with other people to fully admire the culture.
Take a canal tour in Nyhavn. I enjoy exploring Nyhavn as the river is lined with plenty of good restaurants and colorful buildings. I suggest going on the canal tour closer to the sunset and when it gets nicer out!
Grab a bite at TorvehallerneKBH (better known as the glass market). From fresh produce to delicious meals, the glass market is one of my favorite places to visit for a quick meal. You can even try one of the most famous Danish foods here, which is Smorrebrod! Smorrebrod usually consists of a piece of rye bread with a type of protein and different toppings.
Ride one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the Tivoli Gardens. Although it is quite expensive, I recommend visiting Tivoli Gardens and riding the roller coasters. My friend had to hold my hand as I am scared of heights, but it is a must-try! They even have a food hall attached to the park.

Catch the best sunset view at the Round Tower. Aside from Nyhavn, the Round Tower is the best place for a view of the city. It is a steep hike, but I believe that the views are unbelievable! I recommend going an hour before sunset to watch the sky change colors.
Grab a pastry at Lagkagehuset. In my opinion, this is one of the best bakeries in Copenhagen. My go-to order is their cinnamon roll or kanelstang! Kanelstang is also known as a cinnamon stick, but it is considered a type of fluffy cake! If you’re also thirsty during your visit, you can also grab a coffee with your sweet treat.
Go shopping on Stroget street. Shopping is one of my biggest weaknesses, and I find myself on this street once a week since I live so close to it. There are many American brands that you will encounter, but I suggest going into one of the Danish shops as you might find something that you like!

Visit the Copenhagen Zoo. I went here on a class trip, and I loved it! Although my personal opinions on Zoos are not the greatest, this zoo did a good job of giving the animals humane treatment. I suggest visiting here to compare the cultural difference between American and Danish Zoos when it comes to the conservation of endangered species.
Although a bit out of the city, visiting the Louisiana Art Museum is a must! The train ride from the city center is about an hour, but you have to add this museum to your list. They even have a park outside of the museum with fascinating sculptures.
