What did you learn about yourself or the world because of your experience?
From this study abroad experience, I learned so much about myself and interactions with others. I would not consider myself an outgoing person, so participating in a study abroad program was a big leap for me. I was able to learn how to push myself out of my comfort zone and everything I can accomplish because of it. In the future I want to explore more of the world because of everything it can teach you and experiences you would never be able to have otherwise.
No matter your future career, team building can help you work together with different groups of people to complete your work to the best of all of your abilities.
How will your experience benefit you in the future? How might it affect your future career or studies?
Personal relationships and team building is an important skill that can be utilized in any field or situation, which is one reason I believe this experience is an amazing opportunity for everyone. In future studies you can use community building in classes and to work with team members in projects or meet study buddies. No matter your future career, team building can help you work together with different groups of people to complete your work to the best of all of your abilities.
What is your advice for someone considering your program?
Going on a study abroad program with a bunch of strangers can seem daunting, but that is what is so great about it, and specifically this program! In 10 days you are able to meet some people you could call your friends by the end. You are able to learn so much about community and how to build one on your own, but to fully experience this you must be openminded and willing to share.
