England: Luke Williams (Final Reflections)

Program: London School of Economics, Academic Year

As I’m writing this, it’s April 28th and I’ve been in London since late September. And as with all school years (in recent memory, at any rate), it simultaneously feels like it’s gone on forever and like it just started last week. The more I think back on everything I’ve done week to week, though, the more the timeline stretches out, and the harder it feels to accurately characterize it in a blog post. Sure, the classes have been great, if more self-driven than expected. But that misses the fact that the weather has become remarkably beautiful in the last few weeks, or that the tube has remained unbelievably loud, or the number of nights I’ve spent cooking mac and cheese in my kitchen after an day in the library.

A photo of Luke, a male student, smiling at the camera. He has short, brown, curly hair and is wearing a dark blue windbreaker jacket. He stands inside a busy room with many people behind him out of focus.

Program Name: London School of Economics
Major: EconomicsMathematicsHistory
Hometown: Minnetonka, Minnesota

LSE has a fantastic social science curriculum (especially for economics), so I’m confident that my classes will be super engaging, even if they’re challenging. I’m also hoping to get some hands-on experience through an internship.
