How will your experience benefit you in the future? How might it affect your future career or studies?

My experience is already helping me along my path to global citizenship. I am eager to explore and remain outside of the U.S. for the rest of my life after graduation. I applied to the Peace Corps, am hoping to return to Prague for graduate school, and am pursuing a career in global education policy.

The opportunity to learn from others, and vice-versa, can create lifelong friendships and increase your empathy.

What did you learn about yourself or the world because of your experience?

Humanity is common ground. Meeting people of different backgrounds, experiences, languages, customs, and cultures will enrich your life insurmountably.

What is your advice for someone considering your program?

Get involved in the community! I volunteered in an afterschool English program at a local elementary school, and it was the highlight of my semester. Spending time with my Czech roommates was also a great way to gain insight into the culture and experience Prague like a local.
