What is your most memorable experience from your program?

The most memorable experience was when we were with an local artist doing intervention. We went to an area of walls with abandoned advertisements and created art. We got to be as creative as we wanted with clay.

What is your advice for someone considering your program?

You should 100% do this program with Paola Hernandez. She is very knowledgeable about the culture and gives you an authentic learning experience!

What challenges or barriers did you face as you prepared to go abroad and/or during your time abroad? How did you work through them?

A challenge I faced as during my abroad experience is my relationship with my host mom. I did not speak the native language so there was a lot of miscommunication. I handled it by talking to IFSA and they respectfully resolved the situation.
