A delicious dinner of Kimchi Jigae!

Exploring food in a new country is one of the most exciting things you can experience. In a country like South Korea, I noticed that the food was extremely different from what I’m used to in the United States. In South Korea, I noticed that most Korean foods had a base of either rice or noodles, which were paired with many different kinds of soups, sauces, and toppings. These combinations were numerous so it was impossible to get tired of the food.

One of my favorite foods while I was in South Korea was 돼지 김치찌개/ Pork & Kimchi Stew. This dish was a stew made with veggies, kimchi, and pork which was paired with rice and various sides. And for ~$5.50USD it was a very affordable and filling dish. Especially during the winter time, this dish was a great way to warm up after exploring the city in the cold. Korea has a diverse variety of foods at various price points, which allowed me to try so many different kinds of foods. And though I tried many kinds of food from all over the world while in Korea, I will always recommend people who are visiting Korea to enjoy authentic Korean food to the max during your stay.
