Recently, we went to a London Lions game as a cohort. It was arranged by the team at FIE, so it was really easy to get to and figure out. When we first arrived, I was struck by the environment around me. It turned out that it was in the area where many sports buildings were constructed for the 2012 London Olympics, so it was really cool to know that it was such a significant building. Personally, I am a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, since I am a resident of Milwaukee, but I still enjoyed watching the London Lions. It reminded me a lot of home, especially since American sports like football and basketball aren’t as popular in the UK. As we watched the game, it was super fun to be able to cheer on the team, and at the end, they even played jump around. As badgers, we all participated, and had a lot of fun doing it. In all, the game was a really good experience. When I was first thinking about the program, I was nervous that I would miss out on the traditional college experience, but I have now realized that this is one of the best things that I will ever do in my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
